Achieving excellence together

A nursery, a primary school, a pupil referral unit and two sixth form colleges working as one. We educate, we partner and we shape the sector conversation from our corner of the North East.

A welcome from our chief executive

Dr Nichole Munro, Chief Executive Officer

Most people do not get as far as they could. Usually something is in the way. Confidence, a gap in what they were taught, a bad year, a label someone gave them at seven.

Our job is to find that thing and take it out of the way. That is what this trust is for, and it is the only test that matters to me.

We do it from a few months old to adulthood, across the Tees Valley, as one team. We set a high bar for teaching and hold every setting to it. We share what works, and we are honest when something does not.

Every child and young person here is known by name and valued for who they are. Not a number in a cohort. That is harder at scale, and it is the thing we protect first.

They leave us more confident, better qualified and ready to shape what comes next. Further than they expected. That is the measure.

If you are choosing a place for your child, or thinking about working here, come and see whether we do it.

Dr Nichole Munro
Chief Executive Officer
