Website privacy notice
This notice explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers the website only. For how we use information about pupils, students, parents, carers and staff, read the trust’s privacy notices for students, parents and guardians, and for the workforce.

Atomix Educational Trust is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are a charitable company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, company number 10743632. Registered office: Church Walk, Guisborough TS14 6BU.

What we collect and why
Contact form. If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message and use them to answer your enquiry. The form sends your message by email to our enquiries mailbox. Messages are not stored on the website.
Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, the pages you request and the browser you use. These are used to keep the website secure and to diagnose faults, and are deleted after a limited period.
Cookies and analytics. The website sets one cookie it needs to remember your cookie choice. With your permission it also uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. Analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time. Our cookie policy lists every cookie.
Our lawful basis
We use this information to carry out our public task as an academy trust: giving families and the public information about the trust and its settings, answering enquiries and keeping the website secure (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(e)). Analytics cookies are set only with your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).
Who we share it with
- Microsoft, which provides our email service, so that contact form messages reach us.
- Krystal Hosting Ltd, which hosts the website in the United Kingdom.
- Google, if you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics may process data outside the UK under safeguards approved for international transfers.
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept in line with the trust’s records management policy and deleted when no longer needed. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for security purposes for a limited period. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, email gdpr@atomix.ac.uk or contact the data protection officer.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
